How Pricing Works

Every locksmith job is different. We provide a free on‑site assessment and a clear quote before any work begins — no surprises, no hidden fees, and no work without your approval.

Our Pricing Process

  1. You contact us — Call, text, or book online. Describe your situation so we can prepare the right tools.
  2. Technician confirms & arrives — We confirm availability, provide an ETA, and come to your location.
  3. On‑site assessment — The technician evaluates the actual job conditions: lock type, access method, hardware needed, and complexity.
  4. Clear quote before work begins — You receive a specific price based on the real situation. No work starts without your explicit approval.
  5. Service & payment — We complete the job. Pay by card, Apple/Google Pay, Tap‑to‑Pay, or cash. E‑receipt sent by email.

What Affects Your Quote

Locksmith pricing depends on the specifics of each job. No two situations are identical, which is why we quote on‑site after a real assessment rather than guessing over the phone. Common factors include:

Lock & Hardware

Type of lock (standard pin tumbler, high‑security, smart lock, deadbolt, commercial‑grade). Condition of the lock and whether replacement hardware is needed.

Vehicle & Key Type

For automotive jobs: year, make, and model of the vehicle. Key type (standard blade, transponder chip, key fob, proximity key). Whether it is a lockout, duplicate, or all‑keys‑lost situation.

Access Method

Non‑destructive entry is always attempted first. If drilling or more advanced techniques are needed (only with your consent), the complexity affects the quote.

Labor & Complexity

Number of cylinders or locks involved. Whether the job requires rekeying, installation from scratch, master key systems, or specialized commercial hardware.

Parts & Materials

Some jobs require new hardware, key blanks, transponder chips, or specialty cylinders. Parts are quoted separately so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Time & Travel

Standard hours are 7 AM – 10 PM. After‑hours on‑call service (when available) carries a surcharge. Travel distance beyond our core Sarasota‑area coverage may also affect pricing.

Why We Quote On‑Site

A lockout on a standard residential deadbolt is a very different job than a high‑security commercial cylinder or a transponder key replacement on a late‑model vehicle. Giving accurate pricing requires seeing the actual situation — the lock, the door, the vehicle, the hardware.

This approach protects you: you get a real price for your real job, not a guess. And because no work starts without your approval, there is zero risk in getting the assessment.

  • Free on‑site quote — no obligation, no surprise charges.
  • Non‑destructive first — drilling only with your consent.
  • ID & proof of access required — for your security on every job.
  • Technician authority — the technician who evaluates the job sets the final quote based on actual conditions.

Payment & Accepted Methods

Payment is due upon completion. We accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tap‑to‑Pay, and cash. An e‑receipt is provided by email after every job.

Warranty

90‑day labor warranty on workmanship. Manufacturer’s warranty applies to parts. Exclusions: pre‑existing damage, abuse, and non‑standard installations. To file a claim within 90 days, email info@primelock24.com with your job ID, photos, and a description of the issue.
